Blues vs. Blackhawks

Just found out this weekend that my buddy and I are getting two tickets to the Blues vs. Blackhawks game on march 24th. Our tickets are in one of the suites, which means free food and free drinks all game long.  I love the blues and I've been wanting to go to a few more Blues games before the seasons over and this one should not dissappoint. Nothing beats 700,000 screaming Blues fans packed into Scottrade Center on a Saturday night.

New Apartment

I finally found my own apartment.  Me and my buddy Joe have been searching for a new place to live for a couple months now, our only problem was finding one thats affordable for two twenty-one year old college kids.  Anyway we found a place in Milstadt, it's a two bedroom one bath apartment. The idea of sharing a bathroom with Joe wasn't one i was too exited about but i'll get over it. We should be moving in either this weekend or next weekend.  I'm looking forward to finally getting out of the house and living on my own until I go off to college.

I am from...

I am from…..
Adapted by Levi Romero
Inspired by “Where I’m from” by George Ella Lyon

I am from the toolbox in the garage
From the fridge and the freezer
I am from the three story house
That feels like freedom
I am from the garden in the backyard
To the maple in the side yard
Whose long gone limbs I remember
As if they were my own.
I’m from fishing and lifting
From Debbie and Rusty
I’m from hard work and respectfulness
And from making people laugh when needed
I’m from no fighting and be responsible
And give respect to get respect
I’m from fish fry’s
I’m from Columbia/Cahokia, Illinois and American Indian/ Irish decent
From Stuffed peppers to chocolate pie
From serving our country and being proud of it
Regardless of how my Uncle Robin was affected after the war in Nam'
I remember taking the yearly family photo and fighting with my siblings
I still keep my mementos everywhere from the wall in my room to the walls in my heart.
